Montana State University (MSU), through its Precision Agriculture Program at the Northern Agricultural Research Center (NARC), is inviting applications for a Graduate Research Assistantship (MS/PhD) beginning Spring 2026. This is a unique opportunity for motivated students passionate about agricultural innovation, remote sensing, and sustainable crop production to join a forward-looking research program that integrates advanced technologies with on-farm applications.

Lab Overview:

The Precision Agriculture Program at the Northern Agricultural Research Center (NARC) supports Montana producers by integrating emerging technologies to improve efficiency, profitability, and sustainability. We use remote sensing, variable rate application, autonomous equipment, and data-driven decision tools, with applied research in on-farm trials. Outreach includes workshops, field days, and digital resources.
